Kathryn Mary Draper Garraway was born on the 25th of May 1967 in Buckinghamshire, England. She attended the Royal Masonic School for Girls and the University of Birmingham where she studied English Literature. After graduating, she went to work as a reporter for local radio and television stations before eventually moving to ITV News Central. She also worked as a presenter for Meridian Tonight.

Career
Kathryn Mary Draper Garraway MBE began her career in journalism at the age of 17, when she started work as a junior reporter for the local newspaper in her hometown. She then went on to become a journalist for ITV News Central and later co-presented ITV News Meridian.
Garraway was a co-presenter of GMTV from 2000 to 2010. During this time, she was also a regular contributor to programmes such as This Morning and GMTV Today.
In 2010, Garraway joined ITV Breakfast as a main anchor for Daybreak. She also presented the ITV Lunchtime News and occasionally stood in for Lorraine Kelly on her show.
Garraway has been presenting Good Morning Britain since 2014. She has interviewed some of the biggest names in show business, including Robert Downey Jr., Hugh Jackman, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, and many more.

Kathryn Garraway is married to former City trader Derek Draper, who she met in 2001. The couple have two daughters; Emily, born in 2003, and Darcey, born in 2005. The family currently resides in London.
Garraway is an avid tennis fan and regularly attends the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. She also enjoys skiing, golf, running and going to the gym.
In addition, she is a patron of Bowel Cancer UK and has raised money for the charity through various initiatives. Garraway is also a trustee of the charity Mosaic, which helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds gain access to work experience.
