Political Career

Lee Michael Zeldin was born in New York in 1980 and raised on Long Island. A Republican, he has represented New York’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives since 2015. I was always interested in law and politics and knew that I wanted to pursue a career in one of those fields. After college, I worked for a few different law firms and realized that I loved the challenge of working in the legal field. I then decided to run for office and was elected to the House of Representatives in 2015.
