Kevin Anthony Rankin is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Herc in Friday Night Lights, Tyler Briggs in Trauma, Roe Sanders in Unforgettable, Kenny in Breaking Bad, and Derek Devil Lennox in Justified.

Rankin was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1990. From age nine, he trained with actor David Leisure at The Leisure Studio in Charlottesville for three years. While attending The Leisure Studio, he won a national competition hosted by ABC’s America’s Funniest People. After moving to New York City at 17, Rankin trained with acting coach William Esper.

After his parents divorced when he was 7 years old, Kevin lived with his mother in Silver Spring, Maryland. He took an interest in acting while attending Montgomery Blair High School where he was an honors student, class president and a letterman in lacrosse.
