Born on January 7, 1978 in Hartford, Connecticut to parents who were pastors and ministers for the World Evangelical Association. It was a huge support system for her during her early years in life. Jamie was married to filmmaker Charles Bush-Joseph and together they founded their own production company, Monkeypaw Productions. Bush-Joseph said in an interview with The Wrap, I want to do comedy at its highest level, and the two were determined to find a way to showcase that side of her talent.
