1. What was your first acting gig?
I had a starring role in a short film called STREET. It was my first gig. I started acting when I was ten. It’s hard to pick a favorite role of mine because they’ve all been so special in their own way, but right now I am particularly proud of my work in Outside the Box and Convention of the Dead. My first acting gig was when I played Viola in Twelfth Night at public school.
2. Do you want to continue working as an actor?
I’m definitely not leaving acting, I want to keep doing it as long as I can. The whole premise of my blog and YouTube channel is to document my life in a creative way, so that’s what I’m going to continue doing for the foreseeable future.
3. What are your hobbies outside of acting?
One of Ashleigh’s biggest passions is acting, but there are a lot of other interests and activities she enjoys to keep herself entertained. Some of her favorite things to do outside of acting include cooking, shopping, writing scripts and staying up-to-date with current events in politics. Ashleigh also loves fashion, which is why it’s no surprise that she can be seen walking runways at fashion shows or being featured in photo shoots as a model.
4. What’s the biggest obstacle in your life and how did you overcome it?
When I was sixteen, I had my first big-girl job as a counselor at Camp Huntington. While there, I experienced what it was like to have leadership responsibilities for an entire group of children. It was my first real-life taste of responsibility and social interactions that could turn volatile in a second.
5. How would you describe yourself in one word?
A few words that come to mind when I think of myself are confident, driven, compassionate, outgoing, and outspoken. When I was younger these qualities came across as arrogance. However as I grew older I found that it was my drive and compassion for others that shaped me into who I am today. With being so open minded to people’s opinions and ideas while remaining true to my own beliefs it is impossible not to be outspoken.
