Six-year-old Charlie Shotwell, who starred in the 2016 movie Captain Fantastic, has been nominated for his first SAG award as Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Feature Film. If he wins, he will become the youngest actor to win an award from SAGs and the fourth person under the age of twelve to be nominated since the awards were established in 1995. Born in 2007, the young actor already has a resume that includes roles on One Day at a Time and The Strain. He made his first major film debut as young Nai Cash in 2016’s Captain Fantastic, for which he was nominated for the award. To date, Shotwell’s most well-known role is Bart Millard of MercyMe’s I Can Only Imagine music video. The video currently has over one billion views on YouTube. Early work

Shotwell’s first acting work was in a 2013 commercial for a retail store called Fanatics. In 2016, he had his most notable role to date as the young Nai Cash in the comedy-drama film Captain Fantastic. Shotwell has been nominated for two Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performance as Cash. Shotwell lives with his family in Westchester County, New York. He and is not yet old enough to drive or go to school full-time.
