Early Life
Helene Fischer was born in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, on August 5, 1984. Her family moved to Germany when she was two years old. She began taking singing and dancing lessons at an early age and went on to study at the TONI&GUY Hairdressing Academy in Berlin. After a stint working as a hairdresser, she decided to pursue a career in music. In 2004, Fischer entered the German talent show Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS), but lost out to Daniel Schuhmacher.
