American film director, screenwriter, producer and actress Maggie Carey was born on August 18, 1983 in Pasadena, California to mother Anne Bicknell (née Burns) who owns a local TV news company based out of Los Angeles, CA and father Robert Bob Carey who owns a landscaping business based out of San Clemente, CA. She grew up loving movies but didn’t want to become an actor at first so she went into directing movies instead where she became known as one of America’s promising female directors.
