Daniel Joseph Ricciardo was born in Faenza, Italy to an Italian father and Australian mother on July 1st, 1989. Growing up, Daniel started playing soccer at a young age and began competing professionally by age 9 with his boyhood club Torino. Eventually, Daniel decided to focus more on music than sports after realizing that he was not going to make it as a professional athlete. However, he continued to play amateur football until high school when he decided to stop playing altogether.
