Sergio Perez (born April 3, 1990) is a Mexican racing driver who races in Formula One for Force India. He previously drove for Sauber and McLaren. Perez started his career in karting from age 7, after being introduced to motorsport by his father. GP2 Series

After winning races in Formula BMW and Formula Renault, Pérez competed in GP2 for Super Nova Racing. He was forced to move teams mid-season after his original team was taken over by a rival that had two cars on offer. He finished fourth overall in what was only his second GP2 start event at Spa-Francorchamps, finishing behind champion Giorgio Pantano as well as teammates Luciano Bacheta and Adrián Vallés.

Lotus F1 Junior Team (2010)

Pérez drove for a season in Formula BMW UK with EuroInternational, finishing as runner-up to Canadian driver Jean-Éric Vergne. In doing so, he beat competition from Red Bull Racing’s Daniil Kvyat and McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Stoffel Vandoorne.

Campos Meta 1 (2011–2012)
