Master P’s father was killed when he was five. Master P’s mother took care of him by working three jobs at a time to support them. His older brother, Kevin, handled his business dealings, while his younger brother, Silkk The Shocker, and cousin C-Murder took care of their musical careers. Miller was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was abandoned by his father and at age 7, he moved to California with his mother. His mother soon remarried and relocated to Oakland, California. At age 15, Miller sold crack cocaine in Richmond, California where one of his best friends was shot dead over a drug dispute. He attended John F. Kennedy High School where he met rap group 3X Krazy that later disbanded due to financial reasons.
